The Central Scheduling Representative schedules outpatient diagnostic testing and ensures accurate patient information to start pre-registration. In this call center role you will answer calls, read orders to schedule appointments, collect demographic and insurance data, and provide

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical terminology preferred but not required.
• Ability to provide caring and compassionate service over the phone.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Typing well and able to use multiple software systems simultaneously.
• Central Scheduling, outpatient registration or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
• Read doctor’s orders to schedule patient appointments accurately.
• Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information by phone.
• Provide patients with information on test preparation and procedures.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct.
• Promote a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits.

Central Scheduling Representative

Position Summary

Schedule outpatient diagnostic testing in a call center setting. Obtain accurate demographic information to start the pre-registration process and maintain accurate patient medical records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
• Read doctor’s orders to accurately schedule patient appointments.
• Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information over the phone.
• Provides patients with accurate information on test preparation and procedures
• Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
• Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Work Shift Details

Days - First Shift, Days: Primary hours 8am-4:30pm, 9:30am - 6pm Weekdays only, no weekends. Minimum two weekdays of availability requested.

Registry employees who meet eligibility may participate in our 401(k) Savings plan with a potential match. However, registry employees are ineligible for Health and Welfare benefits.

Expected Pay

$17.29 - $21.62

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
