Obtain accurate demographic information to start the pre-registration process and maintain accurate patient medical records.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.* Read doctor’s orders to accurately schedule patient appointments.* Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information over the phone.* Provides patients with accurate information on test preparation and procedures* Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits* Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct**Required Qualifications**:**Education and Training**:* High School graduate or equivalent.* Medical terminology preferred but not required.* Ability to provide caring and compassionate service over the phone.* Able to utilize Microsoft Outlook (Office) and Microsoft Teams.* Proficient in typing and utilizing multiple software systems simultaneously.* Central Scheduling, outpatient registration or customer service preferred.**Work Shift Details:**Days - First Shift, Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 6pm. Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
