Job summary

Riverview Health in Noblesville, IN seeks a Scheduling Coordinator to manage central scheduling for multiple departments. You will inform patients about prep needs and provide excellent customer service while protecting patient confidentiality and data privacy.

The role requires 1–3 years in a healthcare call center and a high school diploma, with preferred medical terminology coursework or certification and 5 years outpatient scheduling experience across departments, including CPT/ICD-9-CM

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma.
• Preferred: Medical terminology coursework and/or medical certification program.
• Minimum: 1–3 years call center experience with emphasis on customer service within healthcare setting.
• Preferred: 5 years outpatient scheduling experience across multiple departments with CPT/ ICD-9-CM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all outpatient and inpatient procedures for multiple departments.
• Communicate scheduling information and prep to internal and external customers while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with patients, physicians, office staff and clinicians to obtain scheduling details and schedule procedures.
• Work Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00 and maintain knowledge of department operations.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and relate well to patients and families.
• Demonstrate independent access to confidential information and handle it appropriately.
• Possess knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer applications.
