Job summary

Riverview Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to ensure high-quality patient registrations by collecting thorough demographics and insurance data across our Noblesville, Hazel Dell, and Westfield locations.

The role requires strong accuracy, the ability to schedule and multi-task, and maintaining positive relations with patients and providers while upholding HIPAA requirements. Prior patient access or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: High School Diploma and CHAA Certification or national recognized PFS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic, clinical, billing, insurance, and financial information from patients/guarantors.
• Schedule patients and clients accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
• Inform and train staff on registration requirements and policy changes.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for precertifications and authorizations.
• Identify registrations needing management review and suggest corrections.
