Job summary

Northgate Market in La Habra, CA is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee production scheduling for central kitchen and Puestos in-store. You will train and develop prep cooks, coordinate with Produce, Grocery, and Carniceria, and ensure strict adherence to recipes, quality, and safety standards.

Lead Puesto Team Leaders, ensure FIFO and proper labeling, and work with Culinary Team Leader on cost control and inventory.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Must have minimum supervisory experience and knowledge of current management techniques.
• Must have good communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify Puesto Team Leaders, Leads, and BOH associates.
• Plan and execute daily recipe production for all Puestos in central kitchen.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper labeling and organization of walk-ins and freezers.
• Monitor sanitation, GMP compliance, and product quality.
• Collaborate with other department heads to improve operational efficiencies.
• Lead the back-of-house team in a fast-paced environment.
