Job summary

College Internship Program (CIP) is seeking an Assistant Program Director to lead operations in Long Beach, CA. This onsite, full-time role reports to the Program Director and requires flexibility for longer hours, occasional evenings and up to 25% travel.

The position emphasizes a collaborative culture and high-quality student support across advising, clinical services, and life skills. The candidate will supervise staff, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and design systems to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, Human Services or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a management position.
• Experience working with neurodivergent individuals, disabilities, or neurodiverse populations is required.
• Active Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership & Team Culture: provide day-to-day leadership, model professionalism, accountability and teamwork.
• Staff Supervision, Coaching & Performance Development: supervise staff, onboarding, coaching and performance feedback.
• Student Success Systems & Integrated Service Delivery: coordinate advising, PCPs, TRMs and documentation.
• Student Progress Monitoring & Intervention: oversee progress reviews and timely interventions to improve outcomes.
• Operational Execution & Cross-Functional Coordination: manage daily operations, staffing, scheduling and communication.
• Incident Coordination & Operational Compliance: ensure safety and compliance and escalate as needed.
• Delegation, Staffing & Resource Management: assign work, manage workloads and scheduling.
• Quality Assurance & Service Excellence: monitor service quality and continuous improvement.
• Organizational Contribution & Leadership Growth: develop future leaders and align with CIP priorities.
