YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Sumner, WA is seeking a part-time Manager on Duty to oversee daily center operations in the absence of management. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, follow YMCA policies, respond to emergencies, and provide an excellent member experience aligned with our core values.

Responsibilities include facility safety checks, open/close procedures, incident reporting, and delivering outstanding customer service while fostering an inclusive and welcoming

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment.
• Positive attitude and previous experience with and diverse populations.
• Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment and decision making skills.
• Relevant knowledge and experience, especially in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity is preferred.
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen and YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certifications.
• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
• Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise YMCA facilities, staff, members, and guests in the absence of management, ensuring compliance with the YMCA Code of Conduct.
• Provide required meal and rest breaks for staff, including lifeguards.
• Respond to emergencies, accidents, incidents, and behavioral concerns, following established crisis and emergency procedures and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, security, and a positive member experience.
• Open and/or close the facility according to established procedures, ensuring the building is secure.
• Report incidents, behavioral concerns, hazardous conditions, and maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting members and guests, answering questions, and providing facility tours.
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and equitable environment for members, guests, volunteers, and staff.
