Job summary

FiftyForward is seeking a Center Director in Brentwood, TN, to provide leadership for Martin Center operations, programs and staff. You will work with senior leadership and the advisory board to secure resources and promote the center within the community.

The role requires 2–4 years in social services with supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets and relationships with volunteers and partners. Full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in social services or related field preferred.
• Two - four years’ experience in a social services agency; Two - four years of supervisory experience and one - three years’ experience working with senior adults.
• Demonstrated skills in organizational management and leadership; Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and maintain resources; Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with senior adults; Excellent oral and written communication skills including competency in using computer programs i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel; Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Must be willing to drive passenger group travel van and maintain a safe driving record and automobile liability insurance.
• Certifications: Driver’s License; CPR/First Aid Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire; AED knowledge optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of Center operations, programs, services, facilities, and administrative functions.
• Develop, administer, and monitor the Center budget while maintaining accountability for achieving financial, membership, programmatic, and development goals.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate staff, fostering accountability and exceptional customer service.
• Oversee membership services, program delivery, and participant engagement to meet the evolving needs of older adults and the community.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with members, volunteers, community partners, and business leaders to advance Center visibility and impact.
• Coordinate facility operations, maintenance, security, rentals, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate on communications to promote Center programs and ensure branding alignment.
• Participate in leadership team and cross-functional initiatives to advance agency goals.
• Support Advisory Council communications and community engagement.
• Prepare reports, records, and documentation for funding requirements and decision-making.
• Plan and execute at least one annual center signature event to generate financial support.
