Job summary

Lackawanna College is seeking a Center Director to supervise all programs and services at the center, ensuring compliance with regulations and fiscal responsibility. You will manage staff, admissions, financial aid, and continuing education operations while leading budget planning.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business or related field and 5 years of management experience in higher education or related sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business or related field required.
• Five (5) years of Educational or Business management experience is required.
• Experience in Higher Education, sales and marketing fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily enrollment, academic and continuing education operations (admissions, financial aid, advising, registration, billing).
• Monitor student accounts with Student Accounts department to ensure payments are up to date.
• Develop and implement Center retention plan with Admissions/Student Affairs.
• Hire, supervise, evaluate and lead Center staff.
• Recruit, hire and support adjunct faculty and continuing education instructors.
• Develop Center budget and monitor profitability and compliance with spending guidelines.
• Coordinate class schedules for degree and continuing education programs.
• Develop and implement Center’s marketing plan with College Advancement.
• Collaborate with other departments for program initiatives.
• Engage with external agencies and organizations aligned with the College’s mission.
• Uphold College policies and procedures; prepare enrollment/retention reports.
• Provide classroom instruction as required (e.g., College 101, Capstone).
• Lead staff development training for Center staff/faculty.
• Support Development/Fundraising activities.
• Lead departmental planning aligned with Institutional Strategic Plan and engage staff.
