Job summary

Lackawanna College in Scranton is seeking a Center Director to oversee all programs and activities at the Center, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with all applicable guidelines. The Director will lead center staff and coordinate with college leadership to meet community needs and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Five years of Educational or Business management experience required.
• Experience in Higher Education, sales and marketing preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily enrollment, academic and continuing education operations (admissions, financial aid, advising, registration, billing).
• Monitor student accounts with Student Accounts to ensure payments are current.
• Develop and implement Center retention plans with Admissions and Student Affairs.
• Hire, supervise and evaluate Center staff and adjunct faculty.
• Develop the Center’s budget and monitor for profitability and compliance.
• Coordinate with Academic Dean to schedule degree and continuing education courses.
• Collaborate to create and market continuing education programs.
• Support development and fundraising activities.
• Engage with community and workforce development partnerships.
• Lead departmental planning aligned with Institutional Strategic Plan.
