Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in Minnesota seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a center-based elementary program. This full-time contract runs through early June 2027, with an average class size around 11 students and a focus on individualized instruction.

You will develop and implement IEPs, coordinate with therapists and staff, and communicate progress to families, ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Requires active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 or Tier 2 acceptable; preference for Tier 3 or Tier 4).
• Licensed in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
• Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily specialized instruction to elementary students (typical caseload ~11).
• Develop and implement IEPs in line with state/federal requirements.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers for holistic support.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and team members.
• Participate in school meetings and professional development.
