Job summary

Centria Autism in Portland, OR is seeking a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Training is provided; you must be patient, compassionate, and a team player. The role involves physical activity and includes a pay range of $19 - $24 per hour. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with a team and participate in training provided.
• Maintain physical stamina to assist children up to 50 pounds.
