Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy in Tucker, GA seeks a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to deliver 1:1 and small-group ABA therapy in a center-based setting. You will follow individualized plans, collect data, and support families with training while maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Qualified candidates hold an RBT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and are willing to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as issued by the BACB.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
• Must be able to physically perform this job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks precisely.
• Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong cultural competency with flexibility and open-mindedness.
• Must participate in the company’s background check process.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols from the client’s treatment plan.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time following established procedures.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed.
• Utilize safe procedures and report all critical incidents and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments.
