Job summary

Centria Autism in Portsmouth, VA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for full-time, center-based ABA therapy. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm, in center, with opportunities to earn supervision hours through practicum.

Responsibilities include direct client care, data collection, and parent training under BCBA/BC supervision. Requires RBT certification, background check, high school diploma, reliable transport, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification issued by BACB.
• Must be willing to participate in background check process.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow the client's treatment plan as outlined by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and per procedures.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments.
