Job summary

Centro de la Familia seeks a Center/Bus Aide Substitute to support classrooms, supervise play areas, and promote health, safety, and school readiness for young learners. The role may involve travel across multiple center locations and participation in transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental activities.

You will follow policies, supervise with teachers, assist with feeding and diapering as needed, and help create a warm, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Entry-level position; enthusiasm to work with children including those with special needs and limited English proficiency.
• Physically able to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; CDA within six months or an AA in ECE or related field advantageous.
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler permits or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and actively supervise children with teachers.
• Maintain safe playground and health practices in line with policies.
• Assist with transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental activities.
• Support children with IFSPs/IEPs and foster inclusivity in activities.
