Centro de la Familia is hiring a Center Aide to support classroom activities, help ensure a safe playground, and promote health, safety, and school readiness for young learners across multiple locations within the center.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers to foster development, with a strong focus on bilingual (Spanish/English) engagement, inclusion, and culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old to embark on this journey.
• Entry-level position; enthusiasm for working with children is key.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, sitting on the floor.
• Comfort with floor work, crawling, running, and activities for ages 0–5.
• Spanish and English proficiency is a plus.
• A CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education is advantageous; high school diploma preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler permits are required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide support in the classroom and supervise playground health and safety.
• Assist with transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental specialties as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to foster children’s development across physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language domains.
• Create a warm, respectful classroom environment and model proper language and behavior.
