Job summary

San Francisco Post Acute is seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead admissions operations and grow facility census. You will manage referrals, coordinate the admission process, verify insurance, and ensure a welcoming experience for residents and families.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, a customer-focused approach, and a track record in developing hospital and provider relationships in a high-volume post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare admissions, skilled nursing, or post-acute care admissions preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain referral relationships and support census growth.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily admissions operations to meet census goals.
• Coordinate the admission process from referral to resident arrival and intake.
• Verify insurance coverage and complete admission paperwork and documentation.
• Coordinate bed assignments and transportation for incoming residents.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, and discharge planners.
• Ensure a smooth, professional admissions experience for residents and families.
