Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous admissions experience in healthcare facilities preferred.
• Experience as a Director is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cover Admissions Department in the absence of the Admissions Director.
• Assist with all departmental responsibilities and functions.
• Attend Morning Report meetings as needed.
• Complete daily census and End of Day reports.
• Communicate admissions information to interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain admission agreements for new admissions.
• Audit PRI compliance and maintain PRI log.
• Manage referral sources daily with quick response times.
• Perform data entry in Sigma.
• Coordinate with marketing/outreach to maximize admissions and census growth.
• Engage families to convert referrals into admissions.
• Stay updated on clinical capabilities, policies, and marketing points.
• Understand insurance, payor sources, disenrollments, and SNF finances.
• Answer phones and assist with insurance inquiries.
• Prepare admissions with unit staff, arrange transportation, set up rooms.
• Collaborate with nursing and housekeeping to ready rooms and audits of vacancy.
• Support outreach by preparing literature and attending events.
• Send admission alert notifications.
• Collect and verify financial information from families and hospitals.
• Conduct tours for prospective families.
• Communicate concerns to the Admissions Director.
• Fulfill administrative requirements and reports.
