Job summary

American Medical Administrators is seeking an Admission Coordinator to support nursing home census growth and provide an exceptional experience for prospective residents, families, and referral partners.

You will develop referral relationships, travel to partner locations, and manage the admissions process from inquiry to move-in. The role requires strong multi-tasking, excellent communication, and the ability to review financials and payer sources.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing home admissions or related healthcare role.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Ability and willingness to drive to hospitals, physician offices, and other referral partner locations.
• Experience reviewing referrals and conducting payer-source verification and benefit checks.
• Strong multitasking with tours, follow-up, and census activities.

Responsibilities

• Support census growth and deliver a positive experience for residents, families and referral partners.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, centers, physicians and other partners.
• Travel regularly to referral sources to strengthen relationships and admissions opportunities.
• Coordinate admissions from inquiry through move-in and manage tours with warmth and professionalism.
• Review referrals financially (payer source, insurance verification, benefits).
• Partner with clinical, business office and leadership for smooth transitions.
