The Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland seeks a Field Laborer to maintain cemetery grounds at St. Joseph Cemetery and other Northeast Ohio locations.

You will mow, trim, and perform landscape tasks, operate heavy equipment, and assist with burial services under supervision. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and 6+ months of related experience.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current and valid driver’s license required.
• 6 months or more related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares graves and maintains cemetery grounds.
• Performs snow removal.
• Performs landscaping duties, including trimming grass and weeds, pruning trees and shrubbery, and mowing grass.
• Operates a variety of equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, Cushman utility vehicles, backhoe, dump truck, tractor, bed edger, hedge trimmer, and chain saw.
• Positions casket-lowering device on the grave and covers the dirt pile and sod with artificial grass carpet.
• Erects tent/canopy and arranges folding chairs to prepare the site for burial service; removes sod from the gravesite.
• Prepares the ground for burial, including locating the gravesite by section, lot, and plot number, and marking the area to be excavated.
• Digs the grave to a specified depth, places the vault and foundation grave marker, and sets the grave marker in concrete.
• Opens and closes mausoleum vaults.
• Ensures all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
• Maintains a high level of housekeeping and care of company assets, including vehicles, shop, and worksites.
