Job summary

Catholic Cemeteries Association in Avon, OH is seeking a Field Laborer to maintain cemetery grounds and support burial services. You will mow, trim, prune, and operate multiple heavy and light machines to prepare graves and care for the grounds.

The role requires 6 months of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. The position is on-site with a Monday–Saturday schedule and venue-wide safety expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current and valid driver’s license required.
• Clean driving history is needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares graves and maintains cemetery grounds.
• Performs snow removal.
• Performs landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, pruning, and weed control.
• Operates equipment such as mowers, trimmers, Cushman vehicles, backhoe, dump truck, tractor, edger, hedge trimmer, and chainsaw.
• Sets up burial sites and arranges chairs for services; clears sod and prepares gravesites.
• Digs graves to required depth, places vaults, and marks areas for burial.
• Opens and closes mausoleum vaults.
• Adheres to safety policies and maintains site housekeeping and asset care.
