Job summary

The Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland is hiring a Field Laborer to mow, trim, and maintain cemetery grounds and perform field duties under the Field Manager and Foreman. The role includes snow removal and related landscaping tasks across Northeast Ohio.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; CDL and OSHA 10 are preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work weekends as needed is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current and valid driver’s license required.
• 6 months or more related experience or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares graves and maintains cemetery grounds.
• Performs snow removal.
• Performs landscaping duties: trimming, pruning, mowing.
• Operates equipment: mowers, trimmers, Cushman, backhoe, dump truck, tractor, edger, hedge trimmer, chain saw.
• Erects tent/canopy and arranges chairs for burial services.
• Digs graves to depth, places vaults, and marks gravesites.
• Opens and closes mausoleum vaults.
• Adheres to safety policies and keeps sites clean.
