Job summary

Everstory Partners in Chesnee, SC seeks an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team and ensure safe, high-quality upkeep of cemetery properties. You will oversee buildings, fixtures, and landscape tasks while training staff and coordinating with sales and admin.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and a valid driver's license, with some holidays and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 3+ years of grounds maintenance supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical/building maintenance experience.
• Cemetery work experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train maintenance employees.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Operate maintenance equipment including backhoe and mowing/trimming.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid state driver's license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Grounds and Laborer workers and ensure safety and upkeep of location.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, fixtures, equipment, and operations.
• Manage maintenance team and provide ongoing training.
• Collaborate with location Sales and Administration to recognize and discuss needs.
• Perform landscape maintenance such as weed-whacking and mowing.
• Operate and maintain machinery safely.
• Install cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed.
• Enforce company policies and coach staff.
