Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a dedicated Superintendent to supervise Grounds and Laborer staff at our North Carolina location. You will oversee safety, maintenance, and improvements across properties, while coaching a maintenance team and ensuring exemplary service for families and visitors.

Responsibilities include landscape tasks, equipment operation, and collaboration with Sales and Administration to anticipate location needs.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 3+ years of grounds maintenance supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical/building maintenance experience.
• Cemetery work experience is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train maintenance employees.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery including backhoe and mowing/trimming equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid state drivers license.
• This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Grounds and Laborer workers at a location.
• Ensure the safety of patrons, visitors and employees.
• Oversee maintenance and improvements of Everstory properties, buildings and fixtures."
• Manage maintenance team members and provide training as needed.
• Enforce company policies and coach subordinates.
• Coordinate with location Sales and Administration to plan current and future needs.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, weed-whacking, etc.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Operate machinery safely and maintain equipment.
• Install cemetery vaults, headstones and memorials as needed.
