Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead the Grounds and Laborer teams at our location, ensuring care, maintenance, safety and security for staff and visitors while upholding the property's appearance during all seasons.

The role requires supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with Sales and Administration to anticipate needs, performing landscape tasks, operating machinery, and installing cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 3+ years of grounds maintenance supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical/building maintenance experience.
• Cemetery work experience is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train maintenance employees.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery including backhoe and mowing/trimming equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid state drivers license.
• This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Grounds and Laborer workers and maintains safety and security for staff and visitors.
• Manages maintenance across properties, buildings, and fixtures to keep up appearances.
• Leads and trains maintenance team members and provides ongoing support.
• Enforces company policies and coaches subordinates as needed.
• Coordinates with location Sales and Administration to discuss current and future needs.
• Performs landscape maintenance duties such as weed-whacking and lawn care.
• Handles day-to-day general maintenance tasks.
• Operates and maintains machinery safely.
• Installs cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed.
