Job summary

Everstory Partners seeks a dedicated Cemetery Groundskeeper in Avon, OH to perform landscape maintenance, operate equipment, and support funeral services operations while ensuring safety for staff and visitors.

You will be responsible for routine maintenance, equipment upkeep, and assisting with cemetery vaults, headstones, and general upkeep. The role requires lifting up to 80lbs, a valid driver’s license, and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor/management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties (weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc).
• Maintain and operate equipment safely.
• Support funeral services operations.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install cemetery vaults or assist as needed.
• Install headstones or memorials as required.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal if applicable.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
