Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize cement production, improve fuel and electrical efficiency, and drive process improvements across the plant. You will work with shift teams, train operators, and support control systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role emphasizes safety, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with production and maintenance teams to maximize throughput and quality of cement products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical engineering or closely related field.
• Ability to read, write and understand safety warnings and instructions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in English communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Analyze cement production process and implement changes for efficiency and throughput.
• Train control room operators on proper equipment use.
• Collaborate with shift teams to maintain peak mill and pyro line performance.
• Program plant control systems and maintain process documentation.
• Perform performance testing and maintain equipment records.
• Provide technical support to maximize production of quality cement cost-effectively.
• Test, collect data, and drive continual process improvements.
