Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Cement Technician at the Whitehall Cement Plant in PA to safely and efficiently maintain the tire supply on the kiln tire delivery system, loading tires from trucks and moving trailers as needed.

The role requires stamina for heavy lifting, ability to operate a yard tractor, forklift and Bobcat, and willingness to work rotating 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts with strict adherence to PPE and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Able to lift tires from 20 to 100 lbs and maneuver heavier tires.
• Able to operate yard tractor, forklift and bobcat.
• Able to perform heavy lifting in extreme climates/temperatures.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders; work on catwalks or other narrow spaces.

Responsibilities

• Places a tire on each empty hook as they pass the dock loading area.
• Disposes of unusable material as prescribed.
• Removes empty trailers from the dock, and replace with full trailers.
• Completes paperwork, record keeping, and sampling as required.
• Assists in maintaining plant housekeeping standards.
• Promptly reports unusual circumstances, problems or difficulties to supervisor.
• Promotes safety policies and proper PPE use.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
