Job summary

Amrize seeks a Cement Technician to operate and maintain our cement plant within a heavy manufacturing setting in North America. The role emphasizes safety, inspections, and proactive maintenance of various plant equipment to ensure continuous operations.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and at least one year in heavy manufacturing, with mechanical aptitude and teamwork. The position requires outdoor work, occasional elevated tasks, and adherence to PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work outside, at heights, in warm temperatures, around water, in dusty environments and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and assess risks before starting tasks.
• Perform walk-by inspections & checklists on operating process plant.
• Perform industrial maintenance and repairs on equipment (rigging, cutting, welding, fitting, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment during operation and mechanical breakdowns.
