Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Cement Technician to join our cement plant operations in North America. The role covers operation, housekeeping and industrial maintenance critical to reliable plant performance.

The candidate will work on multi-skilled tasks, follow safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement of equipment and processes. Ideal applicants have 5 years in heavy industrial maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work collaboratively across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment; willing to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Practice safety and assess risks before tasks, use proper PPE.
• Perform walk-by inspections & checklists on process plant.
• Conduct industrial maintenance: rigging, cutting, welding, fitting, lubrication, alignments, low voltage repairs.
• Make repairs and replacements on equipment.
• Operate light and medium plant mobile equipment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment during operation and breakdowns.
• Maintain documentation and plan work with the team.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
