Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Theodore Cement Plant in Alabama. You will work as part of a team to keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently, performing maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks while adhering to MSHA and Amrize safety guidelines.

Required: High School Diploma/GED, 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance; associates/technical degree preferred; trade certificate or equivalent experience. Expect rotating shifts and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• Trade certificate or technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
• Fabrication, welding, and cutting to maintain equipment reliability.
• Dismantles, repairs and reassembles equipment as needed.
• Proactive/predictive maintenance using vibration, thermograph, oil analysis, etc.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues to maximize productivity.
• Report problems to supervisor and participate in corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance procedures and develop new ones as required.
• Perform inspections and document findings per supervisor guidance.
• May serve on Continuous Improvement groups to resolve issues.
• Assist in implementing safety procedures including lockout/tagout and JSA.
• Operate mobile equipment safely and perform housekeeping.
