Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Control Room Operator for the Theodore Cement Plant in Alabama. The role monitors plant operations, ensures safety and environmental compliance, and maintains production records while optimizing kilns and mills.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in cement operations and is proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office. This on-site role requires adherence to PPE protocols and shift work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of cement operation experience.
• Strong math and logic skills.
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continual observation of operation of all processes through control system recordings and indications.
• Ensure kiln and mill operation complies with MSHA and company safety standards.
• Ensure kiln and mill operation is environmentally compliant.
• Monitor lab test results during shift and take corrective action as needed to meet quality standards.
• Manipulate controls to maintain optimum production rates and minimize equipment damage.
• Detect equipment malfunctions and report them to supervisors.
• Maintain records and prepare reports per procedures.
• Contribute to cost control and find ways to reduce operational expenses.
