Job summary

Amrize seeks a Control Room Operator at the Theodore Cement Plant in Alabama to monitor kiln and mill operations, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance while supporting production goals on rotating shifts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of cement operation experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and knowledge of SAP and MS Office. This is a full-time hourly role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Good math and logic skills.
• Successful candidates must adhere to safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved PPE, including respirators, with pass of fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continual observation of operation of all processes through control system indications and visual observation.
• Ensure kiln and mill operation comply with MSHA and company safety standards.
• Ensure kiln and mill operation is in environmental compliance.
• Monitor laboratory test results and take corrective action to meet quality/quantity standards.
• Manipulate controls to maintain optimum production rates and prevent equipment damage.
• Detect indications of equipment malfunction and report to supervisors.
• Maintain records and prepare reports per procedures.
• Assist in keeping costs in line with plant budget and look for cost-saving opportunities.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Work overtime and rotating shift schedules.
• Promote safety culture and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
