Hollingshead Cement, a division of Smyrna Ready Mix (SRM Concrete), is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to develop new business and build customer relationships across Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth, Texas. This entry-level sales position offers the opportunity to build a career in cement sales and construction materials sales, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and commitment to building a career in outside sales.
• Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and apply feedback.
• Ability to travel consistently throughout Houston and Dallas–Fort Worth, including overnights.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort meeting prospective customers through face-to-face visits.
• Ability to organize appointments, manage a large territory, and follow up.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Residence in the greater Houston area preferred.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, construction, building materials, or logistics is a plus; cement sales not required.

Responsibilities

• Outside Sales & Business Development: identify prospects, make calls, visit customers, and generate new cement sales opportunities.
• Customer Relationship Management: build and maintain relationships with ready-mix producers, contractors, and cement customers across Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth.
• Territory Management: plan travel routes, schedule appointments, and maintain coverage across the territory.
• Account Management: understand needs, prepare quotes and proposals, provide responsive service.
• Product Training: learn cement products and sales processes through hands-on training.
• Logistics Coordination: collaborate with operations and dispatch on availability and delivery schedules.
• Sales Reporting: maintain customer records, track activity, share market feedback with leadership.
• Customer Support: follow through on commitments and address questions with internal teams.
