Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Johnson Front Desk staff oversees the use of JohnsonCenter production rooms during building hours. This role will have shifts availableMonday-Saturday 8am-2am and Sundays 12pm-2am. This role will beresponsible for making sure approved students are getting the access they needto the facilities in the Johnson Center for academic projects. They will ensurethat all students using the facilities are complying with the Policies andProcedures of the Johnson Center and the Belmont Honor Code. This role willinteract with the Facility Manager, as well as Campus Security on a regular basis. Primary Job Duties:

  • Manage keys and cards for access to studios/suites/labs and more
  • Verifying the student reservations of spaces
  • Verifying the rooms in use match the reservations for the day
  • Verifying all rooms not in used are locked and equipment is powered down correctly
  • Walkthrough Johnson Center Third and Fourth Floors
  • Check in on student use of the Johnson Center Computer Labs
  • Check all classroom and office doors are locked with lights off
  • Enforce Belmont and Johnson Center Policies and Procedures
  • Interface with Belmont Security on activity in the Johnson Center
Secondary Duties

Troubleshoot student issues with equipment or software in production spaces

Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience with Mac OS required
  • Experience with ProTools and Avid Media Composer is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Ability to manage multiple incoming phone lines and voicemail
  • Ability to handle several customers simultaneously
