Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Front of House Team encompasses multiple positionsincluding Usher and House Manager.

These positions operate on a flexibly scheduled basis for events hostedatBelmont University in the Curb Event Center arena, Fisher Center forthe Performing Arts, and other event spaces across campus.
TheUsherposition assists in crowd management for eventsthrough duties included, but not limited to, ticket taking, assisting patronsin seating area,controlling access to events based on a credentialsystem, getting guests to safety in emergency situations, acting as a generalcustomer service representative, and helping to ensure every guest has anenjoyable experience while attending each event.

Required Qualifications
  • Ableto provide great customer service.
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
  • Friendly, personable, and a team player.
Required Education

Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Specify if the student must be a particular major or particular year in school.

Required Experience
  • Required Experience:No previous experience required.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training.
  • Preferred Experience:Customer service, hospitality, or guest relations experience.
  • Event, venue, or volunteer experience.
  • Experience working with the public.
  • Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ticket scanning experience.
