Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a battery manufacturing engineer to industrialize Cell-to-Pack battery pack facilities. You will lead line layouts, launch manufacturing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient production.

You will work on defining cycle times, OEE targets, and development of quality methods with a focus on continuous improvement and on-site execution across hybrid work settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Masters preferred.
• Min of 1-3 years in Process Engineering is required.
• Experience in Cell-to-Pack Module Assembly processes (Prismatic form factor preferred) and 5+ years on major projects.
• Experience with simulation tools, Digital methods: AutoCAD, Siemens PLM, etc
• Travel and mobility with short term relocation / ability to work remote is key.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes: lead, engineer line layouts, implement manufacturing processes, and launch facilities.
• Lead simultaneous engineering with Product, Purchasing and Suppliers to deliver manufacturing feasibility.
• Drive design for manufacturability for new Cell-to-Pack Battery Packs products.
• Work with OEMs in the design of manufacturing equipment, process and tooling.
• Collaborate with automation and other tech partners to develop competitive productivity solutions.
• Define Cycle time / OEE and other performance targets with industrial engineering.
