GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of Cell & Gene Therapy CDMO services, focusing on plasmid DNA, AAV, LVV, and related processes.

The role involves building strategic customer relationships across biotech, pharma, and academia, developing new business opportunities, and managing end-to-end deals. You will lead consultative discussions, prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, maintain a robust pipeline, and monitor industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Over 3 years of Business Development or commercial experience within biotech, pharma, CRO, or CDMO industries.
• Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy, viral vectors, plasmid DNA, biologics, or advanced therapies strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in consultative technical sales and complex opportunity management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan for Cell & Gene Therapy CDMO services.
• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across biotech, pharma, and academia.
• Build trusted relationships with scientific, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Provide consultative recommendations for Plasmid DNA, AAV, LVV, Process Development, Analytical Development, and GMP Manufacturing.
• Lead commercial discussions with SMEs, Technical Account Managers, and Operations teams.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and support contract execution.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast while achieving territory objectives.
• Monitor customer pipelines, funding activity, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Represent ProBio at conferences and partnering events.
• Share market intelligence with Commercial, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
