GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. is seeking aBusiness Development Manager to drive sales growth for CGT CDMO services across plasmid DNA, AAV, LVV, and related process development activities.

The role focuses on strategic territory growth, building relationships with biotech, pharma, and academic customers, and guiding opportunities from discovery to commercialization. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in biotech sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a track record of consultative

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  • Over 3 years of Business Development or commercial experience within biotech, pharma, CRO, or CDMO industries.
  • Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy, viral vectors, plasmid DNA, biologics, or advanced therapies strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative technical sales and complex opportunity management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan for Cell & Gene Therapy CDMO services.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across biotech, pharma, and academia.
  • Build trusted relationships with scientific, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Provide consultative recommendations for Plasmid DNA, AAV, LVV, Process Development, Analytical Development, and GMP Manufacturing.
  • Lead commercial discussions with SMEs, Technical Account Managers, and Operations teams.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and support contract execution.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast while achieving territory objectives.
  • Monitor customer pipelines, funding activity, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent ProBio at conferences and partnering events.
  • Share market intelligence with Commercial, Marketing, and Leadership teams.

Job Description:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by promoting ProBio's Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) CDMO services, with a focus on Plasmid DNA, AAV, Lentiviral Vector (LVV), and related process development and GMP manufacturing services. The role will develop strategic customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support customers from early development through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan for Cell & Gene Therapy CDMO services.
