Job summary

Lochner is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector for Central Texas projects, based in Austin area. You will monitor field activities, verify lines, grades and elevations, and ensure compliance with plans and specs. Proficiency with AWP/Excel documentation is required and night work may be necessary.

The role demands 6+ years TXDOT roadway/bridge inspection experience, a High School diploma, and Level 1B Hot Mix plus ACI concrete field testing certifications. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with some state-required certification courses.
• 6+ years’ experience with TXDOT Projects in inspection of roadway / bridge construction.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Certifications: Level 1B Hot Mix, ACI concrete field testing.
• Experience using Site Manager / related inspection software.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Checks lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard field measuring equipment.
• Observes highway work zones and traffic control setups and reports potential issues to supervisor.
• Tests and/or samples materials.
• Experience in documenting daily activities and pay items in AWP, Excel, or other software.
• Works under the direct supervision of a Field Project Engineer, Senior Inspector or Resident Engineer.
• Willingness to perform night work as needed.

Lochner, an Egis company, is recruiting for a mid-level CEI Inspector in Central Texas and surrounding areas. Our inspectors will monitor project field activities, check lines, grades and elevations using standard field measuring equipment. Experience with TXDOT projects in inspection of Roadway & Bridge Construction is critical.

Your Impact
