Job summary

The Gardens at Millville in Millville, PA seeks a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead the dietary department in a skilled nursing facility. You will supervise daily operations, dietary staff, and meals per planned menus.

Work with the interdisciplinary care team to meet residents’ nutritional needs and provide nutrition counseling with help from a Registered Dietitian. CDM certification and prior long-term care supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required
• Previous long-term care experience preferred
• Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the dietary department
• Manage dietary staff, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and only make authorized food substitutions
• Ensure food is prepared according to standardized recipes and special diet orders
• Review resident care plans as necessary to ensure dietary needs are met
• Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from a Registered Dietitian
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to support smooth facility operations
• Monitor department staff performance and conduct probationary and annual evaluations, including disciplinary actions when necessary
