Job summary

The Gardens at Millville in Millville, PA seeks a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee meal preparation and delivery in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will supervise dietary staff, monitor performance, and support residents' nutritional needs within established policies.

Qualifications

• Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from a Registered Dietitian.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support facility operations.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct probationary/annual evaluations.

The Gardens at Millville is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to join our skilled nursing facility in Millville, PA.

As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will oversee the preparation and delivery of meals in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. Within established policies and procedures, you will ensure high-quality food service is provided at all times. This role also includes supervising dietary staff, monitoring department performance, and supporting the nutritional needs of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the dietary department

• Manage dietary staff, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and only make authorized food substitutions

• Ensure food is prepared according to standardized recipes and special diet orders

• Review resident care plans as necessary to ensure dietary needs are met

• Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from a Registered Dietitian

• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to support smooth facility operations

• Monitor department staff performance and conduct probationary and annual evaluations, including disciplinary actions when necessary

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required

• Previous long-term care experience preferred

• Prior management or supervisory experience preferred

• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
