Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in North Hatfield, MA is seeking an Experienced Yard Jockey with a Class A CDL for a full-time night shift. You will work closely with a professional driver trainer to safely and efficiently move trailers around the distribution yard and dock areas.

The role requires backing trailers up to 53 feet, performing pre/post-trip checks, and following strict temperature controls where applicable. OT may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and medical card required.
• Experience maneuvering and backing trailers up to 53'.
• Must pass DOT physical and maintain compliance.
• Willingness to work nights and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive jockey wagon to move trailers around the yard.
• Position trailers to dock doors and yard pads.
• Record temperatures and manage yard inventory in system.
• Inspect, fuel, and clean the vehicle and trailers.
• Complete salvage loads and store deliveries as assigned.
• Support other departments as needed.
• Follow safety policies and maintain gate times.
