Job summary
US Foods, Inc. is hiring a Yard Jockey to help move trailers, load and unload, and coordinate with dispatchers. This role requires CDL Class A, clean driving record, and the ability to operate manual transmission.
Shifts include daytime and overnight, pay is $26/hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement in a large, nationwide distributor. Safety first approach and strong leadership support drive daily operations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have valid CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- Minimum six months commercial driving experience preferred.
- FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments.
- Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor.
- Load, unload, or merge loads between environments.
- Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers.
- Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets.
- Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse.
- Make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day’s deliveries.
