US Foods Norwich CT is hiring a Yard Jockey CDL to support our logistics operations. You will coordinate with dispatchers and mechanics, couple and prepare trailers, and move trailers for nightly shuttle operations.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A, English proficiency, and adherence to safety standards. Training and benefits begin on day one, with opportunities for overtime based on workload.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• English language proficiency required to read and communicate.
• Experience or willingness to register with FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Dispatchers and mechanics to ensure smooth operations.
• Couple and prepare trailers for nightly shuttle operations.
• Move, load and unload trailers between buildings and environments.
• Configure trailers for backhaul and ensure quick unloading.
• Attend required meetings and adapt to additional duties as needed.
