Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Yard Jockey with a valid Class A CDL to join our distribution center team in Massachusetts. You will train with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) and perform yard moves safely, efficiently, and in alignment with C&S standards.

Responsibilities include logging temps, yard inventory, and potential store deliveries. The role requires operating in varied warehouse temps, night shifts, and a strong commitment to customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess Valid Class A CDL and Medical Card.
• Experience maneuvering and backing trailers (up to 53') with a jockey wagon.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical and maintain safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive a jockey wagon to move trailers around the distribution center yard.
• Move trailers from dock doors and reposition on pads within the yard.
• Log trailer temperatures and operate yard management system entries.
• Complete yard inventory and perform vehicle/trailer inspections.
• May perform store deliveries and assist in other departments as needed.
• Stack salvage and operate propane fueling equipment where location allows.
