Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Swing Driver to safely operate Front End, Roll Off, Residential and other trucks across various collection routes in Texas. You will deliver collected waste or recyclables to landfills or transfer stations and fill in for routes as needed.

The role requires a valid CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of driving experience. You will follow safety procedures, complete inspections, and help maintain vehicle condition and route records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desired.
• Must have valid Commercial Driver’s License.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per Company standards.
• Must demonstrate ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types on collection routes.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports.
• Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• May assist with training other drivers.
