Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Swing Driver to safely operate Front End, Roll Off, Residential and other trucks and to service customers efficiently. The role includes delivering collected waste or recyclables to landfills, MRFs or transfer stations, and filling in on various routes as needed to ensure consistent service.

Responsibilities include performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, filing daily reports, reporting mechanical issues, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred or valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types on collection routes, including front end, roll off, residential and other trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor and mechanic promptly.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior; manage assigned helpers if applicable.
• Follow safety standards, comply with all regulations and company policies.
• Record services performed and assist with route observations as needed.
