Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc seeks a Swing Driver to safely operate Front End, Roll Off, Residential and other trucks, delivering solid waste or recyclables to landfill, MRF or transfer station. You may fill in on various routes to ensure consistent service.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, route documentation, reporting vehicle issues, supervising helpers, and maintaining safety and cleanliness of the vehicle. A CDL and/ or CDL training is required or on file.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desirable.
• CDL or CDL school certificate required or on file.
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience or CDL training completed.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive requirements per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types on collection routes with safety.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain records and documentation for routes and services.
• Supervise assigned helper(s) when applicable.
• Follow safety standards and company policies at all times.
