Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Utility Operator to support the Asphalt Division in Clinton, MD. You will operate heavy equipment, fuel trucks, and perform preventive maintenance to keep machinery safe and productive.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL Class B with endorsements, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. The role emphasizes safety and reliable operation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade program preferred.
• CDL Class B with endorsements required; manual/automatic transmission allowed.
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment maintenance or related experience.
• Experience maintaining asphalt/construction equipment is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain utility equipment supporting daily asphalt operations.
• Drive/operate fuel truck with CDL; dispense fuel as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues and assist repairs.
• Maintain records of fuel usage, inspections and maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and minimize downtime.
